Richard Sneekes and Russell Hoult leave Hereford United

Hereford United have confirmed that two members of their backroom staff are to leave Edgar Street as they prepare for life in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Assistant manager Russell Hoult and coach Richard Sneekes have been let go.

Bulls chairman David Keyte had already warned that there would be casualties following United's last-day relegation from the Football League.

"We must now cut our cloth accordingly to get ready for the Conference," Keyte told BBC Hereford & Worcester.

"On behalf of the board of directors I would like to thank Russell and Richard for their hard work at the football club.

"They are both great characters to have had around the club."

Former Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion keeper Hoult, 39, initially joined Hereford as goalkeeping coach.

He became assistant manager when Jamie Pitman took over from Simon Davey as Bulls boss in October 2010.

Former Bolton and Baggies midfielder Sneekes, 43, joined the United coaching staff from Tamworth as a replacement for Dave Kevan, who took up a post with Stoke City.

He will officially leave his post at Edgar Street when his contract runs out on 30 June.
