Goalkeeper Graham Stack latest to exit Hibernian

Graham Stack is to leave Hibernian after the English-born goalkeeper failed to secure a new contract.

The 30-year-old becomes the fourth player to be announced as a summer departure by the Edinburgh club.

It was revealed on Tuesday that versatile captain Ian Murray and fringe players Scott Taggart and Sean Welsh were not being offered new deals.

Stack, who missed the last six games of the season through injury, joined Hibs in 2009 after leaving Plymouth Argyle.

The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international became a first-team regular at the Scottish Premier League club, although his appearances were curtailed through a series of injuries.

Stack, who was also on the books at Arsenal and Reading and had loan spells with Beveren, Millwall, Leeds United, Blackpool and Wolves, made 62 appearances for Hibs.

Fellow goalkeeper Mark Brown and striker Garry O'Connor are also out-of-contract this summer.

However, Hibs have yet to make an announcement about their futures as manager Pat Fenlon looks to rebuild a squad that narrowly avoided relegation and were hammered 5-1 in Saturday's Scottish Cup final by neighbours Hearts.

The Leith outfit announced this week that seven players signed on loan in January would be returning to their parent clubs.

However, they indicated that manager Pat Fenlon would be holding discussions with the clubs of those he wished to return to Easter Road next season.
