Mathias Pogba scored twice on his debut as Crewe Alexandra thrashed Hartlepool in the Capital One Cup to set a new club record of 20 games without defeat.
AJ Leitch-Smith lifted the ball over keeper Scott Flinders and into the roof of the net for the opener.
Pogba then teed up Max Clayton to fire in the second and Pogba sidefooted a third from Byron Moore's cross.
Clayton ran through to add a fourth before the break and Pogba completed the rout after beating two men late on.
