League Two side Bradford City have signed Nathan Doyle on a free transfer.
Doyle, 25, who can play in defence or a variety of roles in midfield, has agreed a one-year deal following his release from Barnsley last season.
"I think it's an outstanding signing for us, he's played most of his career at Championship level," Bradford boss Phil Parkinson told the club website., external
"We've been working hard to bring him in and I think he'll prove to be a great piece of the jigsaw this season."
Doyle becomes Bradford's ninth signing of the summer and rejoins the Bantams after making 33 appearances for them in 2006-07 during a loan spell.
He began his career at Derby, moved to Hull in 2007 before signing for Barnsley three years later and has also had loan spells at Notts County and Preston.
"I said to Nathan he can come here and be a hero," added Parkinson.
"Any group of players who bring success to our supporters will be heroes and Nathan can be a part of that.
"He can play a really big part this season for us because he's certainly capable of that."
