South Sudan enter Fifa rankings for first time

South Sudan have been included in Fifa's world rankings for the first time after playing their inaugural full international last month.

A 2-2 draw at home to Uganda in a friendly in Juba in July has put South Sudan 199th in the 209-team table.

South Sudan, which became independent last year, joined Fifa in May after being voted in at the annual congress.

The team, made up nearly entirely of home-based players, is coached by Serb Zoran Djordjevic.

Spain remain top of the rankings, while five-time world champions Brazil stay outside the top 10. England have moved up a place to their highest-ever ranking of third.
