Blue Square Bet Premier side Ebbsfleet United have completed the signing of Ben Greenhalgh and handed a new deal to Adam Williams.

Winger Greenhalgh represented Welling last season while striker Williams spent time on loan at Erith Town.

Fleet boss Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "Ben's been around for most of pre-season and I think there's still more to come from him.

"The challenge for him is whether he can step up to the mark."

He added: "I think he's worth persevering with and seeing whether he can do that."

The Kent side begin their campaign away to Nuneaton Town on Saturday, and Daish has targeted improving on last season's mid-table finish.

"The first two games gives us a chance to get off to a good start, but it's going to be tough," he continued.

"Nuneaten are a bit of an unknown quantity while Braintree are in a similar position to us.

"I'd like to think by Christmas I'll be looking a lot further up the table. I want to improve on where we were last year and I'm confident we can do that."
