James Hayter scored twice as Yeovil Town eased to a deserved 3-1 win against Brentford.
Hayter broke the deadlock with a first-half volley after Tony Craig's blunder before Clayton Donaldson levelled it with a 55th-minute curler.
Bees debutant Paul Hayes then had his penalty saved by Marek Stech after Yeovil's Byron Webster had handled.
But Hayter waltzed through to rifle home 10 minutes from time before Craig put through his own goal.
New Bees left-back Scott Barron was beaten for pace by Lewis Young, whose cross was smashed into the roof of the net by a backtracking Craig.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Yeovil Town striker James Hayter tells BBC Somerset:
"It's nice to get off the mark, get a couple of goals and pick up the three points.
"We've got a small squad but it's a tight-knit group and that's going to be massive for us all season.
"Even if you find yourself out of the team, you're still part of the squad.
"It's going to take a team effort to do what we want to do this season. We've got a really good togetherness."
