Crewe Alexandra summer signing Mathias Pogba is confident he will be able to maintain his scoring form throughout the new season.

Striker Pogba, 21, joined the Alex from Wrexham in July and has since found the net 10 times in 11 games, including twice against Hartlepool on Saturday.

"Since I was young, I was always hungry to score goals," Pogba told BBC Radio Stoke.

"I'm hungry to do well for the team. So I will be like this all season."

Saturday's 5-0 victory means that Crewe have now gone 20 games unbeaten, a run which helped them achieve promotion to League One last season via the play-offs.

And Pogba, elder brother of ex-Manchester United midfielder Paul, believes that confidence is high at the Alexandra Stadium.

"We play football, we defend well, and we can score goals, so I enjoy it a lot.

"When the players have got confidence, we just keep going."
