Donegal Celtic and Glenavon share points after a 1-1 draw at Suffolk Road.

Donegal Celtic and Glenavon picked up their second points of the Irish Premiership in Friday's night's game at Suffolk Road.

Glenavon had Mark Haughey sent-off when he brought down last man Mark Miskimmin in the 56th minute.

But the Lurgan side took the lead on 74 when Guy Bates forced in from close-range after debutant goalkeeper John Connolly had dropped a long ball.

Former Glenavon striker Miskimmin scored DC's 84th-minute equaliser.

He headed in from Sean Cleary's ball after keeper Andy Colman's long ball out.

The opening goal by summer signing Bates came when Kyle Neill's free-kick was dropped by keeper Connolly and the visiting striker forced it in at the far post after a goalmouth scramble.

Just before that Donegal Celtic's Sean Cleary hit an upright with a fine shot.
