Scunthorpe forward Mike Grella has called on the team to pull together after four successive league defeats at the start of the season.

The Iron lost 2-0 at Hartlepool on Saturday and sit bottom of the League One table.

He told BBC Radio Humberside: "Everyone's feeling really down right now so we have to pull together and get some results.

"This is unacceptable and we have to turn it around."

The 25-year-old added: "I have full confidence in the group and in the manager.

"We can't put it down to luck, we have to lift our level and start getting results."

Scunthorpe have only recorded one victory so far this season, beating Derby County 7-6 on penalties in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The former Leeds, Brentford and Bury man is hopeful they can use Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy match against Notts County to return to winning ways.

"We want to bounce back and we want to get as many wins as we can," he continued.

"We'll take Tuesday's game very seriously. There's nothing better than getting out there again and putting things right."
