Woking forward Giuseppe Sole faces at least 12 months on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury in last month's win over Dartford.
The 24-year-old will need to undergo two operations after damaging the lateral collateral ligament and the cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Sole, who came through the club's academy, is currently in his second spell with the Kingfield outfit.
In total, he has scored 80 goals in 212 appearances for the Cards.
Sole posted on his Twitter account:, external "Would like to thank the board, chairman, management and [physio] Stuart Douglas who have all been absolutely first class in arranging the necessary procedures and have given me their full backing and support.
"It's a massive blow, but I can't wait to get back playing for the club."
