Serbia coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was satisfied with a World Cup point against Scotland but promised changes for Tuesday's visit by Wales.

"I would say that 0-0 is more or less an honest result," he said of the 0-0 draw in the Group A qualifier at Hampden Park.

"I expected honestly that we would win against Scotland, but we made a few mistakes.

"We have some things to change to be better in forthcoming matches."

Both sides missed chances, with Scotland goalkeeper Allan McGregor saving well early on from an Aleksandar Kolarov early free kick and late on to deny Dusan Tadic.

Tadic had been surprisingly dropped to the bench, but the introduction of the Twente Enschede midfielder - and Olympiacos' Ljubomir Fejsa in the holding role instead of Red Star Belgrade 18-year-old Srdan Mijailovic - gave the Serbs greater control of the game after the break.

The draw means the Scots and Serbs are two points behind Belgium and Croatia, who both won their opening group games the previous evening.

Wales will arrive in Serbia looking to bounce back from their 2-0 home defeat by the Belgians.

"I must be satisfied with the point at the start of this qualification round," said Mihajlovic.

"If you cannot win, it's important not to lose.

"Scotland had some chances in the first half and also two or three in the second half."

There was a suggestion that Scotland midfielder Steven Naismith may have elbowed Srdan Mijailovic off-the-ball during the first half.

However, Mihajlovic refused to be drawn too much on the incident, saying only: "This is football, not ballet."
