Nigel Pearson signs son James for Leicester City

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has signed his son James on a 12-month contract, reports BBC Radio Leicester.

The 19-year-old defender has previously been on the books at Rotherham United and has been on trial with the Foxes over the summer.

Pearson Jr is a right-back or centre-half and appeared for the development squad in Friday's 3-0 victory over Leeds United.

He is not expected to be part of the first-team plans this season.
