Coleraine moved level on points with Premiership leaders Cliftonville thanks to Saturday's comfortable home win over Dungannon Swifts.
The Bannsiders took a 14th-minute lead through Stephen Lowry's cool finish past Niall Morgan after Darren Boyce had headed the ball on.
Paul Owens made it 2-0 just six minutes later, running on to Curtis Allen's flick to score as Morgan rushed out.
Dungannon's Michael McKerr was denied by the feet of keeper Gavin Cullen.
In the second half Owens had a shot cleared off the line and Ruairi Harkin saw a free-kick hit the near post.
So Coleraine reclaim second place and sit just behind Cliftonville on goal difference.
It was Cliftonville who inflicted Coleraine's only Premiership defeat this season - a remarkable 5-1 result at the Showgrounds on 1 September.
Dungannon stay in eighth place with just two wins from their nine league matches.
"It might not have been our prettiest performance of the season but it was a job well done," said Coleraine midfielder Stephen Lowry.
"We have made a good start to the season - but that is all it is.
"We play Ballinamallard next and we have to keep working hard - we need to keep this going."
