Swindon 0-0 Sheffield Utd

Sheffield United moved to the top of League One as Danny Wilson's side played out a lacklustre draw against his former club Swindon Town.

The best chance in a poor game came early on for Swindon when Matt Ritchie's volley hit the crossbar

Gary Roberts also went close but his effort ricocheted off the woodwork.

There was late drama when Tony McMahon's free-kick found Blades' Neill Collins, but his goal-bound shot was blocked by Nathan Thompson.

Wilson pleased with Swindon draw

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"It's a terrific point and a thoroughly deserved point, in my opinion.

"We got better and stronger as the game got on against a very physical Swindon side.

"We had one lucky escape as a deflection hit the post but as the game went on we got a little bit more composure, space to play and created more chances.

"Over the game, it was maybe a fair result."
