Highlights - Scottish Cup replay round-up

Brechin set up a Scottish Cup fourth-round clash with St Mirren after putting minnows Bonnyrigg Rose to the sword in their third-round replay.

It did not take long for the Second Division side to inflict the damage as Kurtis Byrne whipped in a free-kick from 20 yards in the 11th minute and Jonathan Brown made it two from 18 yards five minutes later.

Bonnyrigg goalkeeper Michael Burgess was picking the ball out of the net three minutes later when Alan Trouten converted Derek Carcary's cross and the former Ayr striker was celebrating again just after the half-hour when he reacted quickest to a loose ball as Brechin went in at half-time 4-0 up.

The beleaguered Burgess was taken off with an injury three minutes after the restart and his replacement Steven Ellison was soon in the firing line as Byrne got back on the goal trail by firing home a rebound.

Carcary got in on the act with a 20-yard effort in the 70th minute to finish the rout and Bonnyrigg's misery was complete when Liam McKenna saw red for violent conduct.
