Gary Browne secures a 1-1 draw for Linfield at New Grosvenor with a late equaliser against his former club Lisburn Distillery

Premiership champions Linfield dropped another two points when they were held by bottom club Lisburn Distillery.

It took an 82nd-minute equaliser by former Distillery striker Gary Browne to salvage a point for the Blues.

The Whites took the lead four minutes before half-time when Jordan Forsythe spun past Johnny Black to coolly shoot past Ross Glendinning.

Before Browne's equaliser, Lisburn Distillery had Aaron Traynor sent-off for a second yellow card offence.

For Linfield, David Armstrong had a goal ruled out in the second half for offside and Peter Thompson hit a post before Browne headed the leveller.

It was a welcome point for Tim McCann's Distillery, but they stay bottom of the table because of Donegal Celtic's win over Ballymena United.

Linfield, beaten in a penalty shoot-out by Ballymena in the midweek County Antrim Shied final, are sixth in the table, still 14 points behind Premiership leaders Cliftonville.
