Ryan Lowe scored for the third successive League One match as MK Dons beat basement club Hartlepool United.

Lowe latched on to Darren Potter's cross and placed a precise side-footed volley into the corner of the net.

Angelo Balanta, Luke Chadwick and Dean Lewington went close for the hosts, while Shaun Williams had a goal ruled out for a shove.

Hartlepool, who are without a win in 21 games, rarely threatened but their best chance fell to Jonathan Franks.
