Irish Premiership: Portadown 2-4 Glentoran

Glentoran came from behind to beat nine-man Portadown at Shamrock Park.

Gary Breen was sent-off for an off-the-ball incident before Darren Murray scored on 28 and 41 minutes.

Andy Waterworth pulled one back after 43 and then Murray was dismissed after an altercation with Jay Magee.

Mark Clarke headed in from six yards out on 83, Magee netted a penalty on 87 after Jim O'Hanlon was fouled in the area and substitute Carl McCombe added the Glens' fourth in added time.

Breen was the first Ports player to see red following an incident with Elliott Morris in the eighth minute.

Soon after, Colin Nixon hit the bar with a cross which was aimed at striker Waterworth.

Murray found the net with a right-foot finish for his 10th league goal of the season after good work by Kevin Braniff, who found his strike partner at the back post.

Joe McNeill forced Morris to make a fine save with his legs, while Jimmy Callacher headed past the post for the Glens.

Ross Redman provided the delivery for Murray to score past Morris with an outstretched leg four minutes prior to the interval.

Stephen Carson set up Waterworth, who spun clear and fired into the top corner two minutes later.

Murray's dismissal tilted the match in favour of Eddie Patterson's side, but the Glens found their opponents difficult to break down.

Clarke eventually restored parity and Martin Murray drilled over as the visitors took advantage of the Ports' tiring legs.

Magee's spot-kick and McCombe's late strike ensured victory for the Oval outfit, who remain third in the league standings.
