Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson has been unsuccessful in his appeal against a two-match ban.
The Scottish FA charged the 27-year-old with "Violent Conduct by striking an opposing player, namely [Dundee's] John Baird, with his elbow".
Wilson challenged the ban he was offered and appeared before the SFA.
But the governing body said on Twitter: "Celtic's Kelvin Wilson receives two-match ban as Compliance Officer Reference is upheld by Judicial Panel."
The verdict means Wilson will miss the Scottish Premier League match at home to Hearts on 19 January and the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final against St Mirren eight days later.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon told the club's website: "Clearly we are very disappointed with today's decision and unfortunately, there is no right of appeal available.
"We find it disappointing that Kelvin has been found guilty of violent conduct, particularly when the other player involved has stated that it was an accidental incident."
Following , external, Baird defended Wilson, saying: "It was an elbow, but I have to stress I think it was accidental."
And, speaking after Wednesday's 1-0 win against Celtic, Wilson said: "It wasn't an elbow so I don't know where the violent conduct has come from.
"To be fair the boy said he was grabbing my shirt and I was just trying to get away, which I was and unfortunately I caught him."
