Hereford United have signed AFC Telford striker Chris Sharp, the son of ex-Everton and Scotland forward Graeme.

The Bulls will pay a £3,000 fee to sign Sharp, who came in for an immediate debut against Kidderminster Harriers at Aggborough on New Year's Day.

Sharp, 26, who started his career at Rhyl and has also played for Bangor City, joined Telford from The New Saints in August 2011.

But he has struggled for a place since starting this term with a groin injury.

And he has scored just once this season in eight appearances.

He will fill the number 10 shirt vacated by Sean Canham, who left the club when his contract expired on 1 January.
