Cliftonville stay nine points clear at the Premiership summit thanks to a comfortable win over Dungannon.

The Reds dominated at Solitude but Dungannon threatened first with Chris Lavery firing wide.

Jody Lynch saw his shot tipped over by Swifts keeper Niall Morgan before his corner was headed home by Liam Boyce for a 35th minute opener.

George McMullan added the second from a 53rd minute penalty after Francis Brennan brought down Stephen Garrett.

Midfielder Garrett went close just before the break when he saw his effort saved by Morgan.

Cliftonville were not at their best and were often sloppy in the third, but they did enough to secure another vital three points.

Dungannon rallied in the closing stages but the Reds easily held on to maintain the nine-point gap over Crusaders.
