MK Dons 1-1 Bury

Steven Schumacher equalised with a volley to earn lowly Bury a draw at promotion-chasing MK Dons.

Dons bossed the opening stages and took a deserved lead when Dean Bowditch cut inside from the left to curl home.

Shakers captain Schumacher pulled his side level by hooking a bouncing ball over his shoulder and in from 15 yards.

Both sides had chances to win it, as Izale McLeod missed from six yards for the hosts and Bury striker Lenell John-Lewis fired wide when through.

Despite extending the loan deals of Tom Hopper, Troy Hewitt, Zac Thompson and Ethan Ebanks-Landell this week, Bury could only name four substitutes for the match and did not include Hewitt on the team-sheet because of a virus.

Robinson bemoans 'dull' display

"I thought that was an abysmal refereeing performance, but I can't blame him for our poor performance either.

"We lacked intensity, quality and almost played into their hands.

"We will get better because with the introduction of players they need time to bed into the team, but we can't keep waiting for it.

"It's definitely two points lost. If we've got aspirations of going up, we've got to win these games."
