Portadown take a one-goal deficit into the second leg of their Setanta Cup first round tie after this defeat.

Ryan Brennan stabbed the ball home after eight minutes and Paul O'Connor made it 2-0 with a low shot into the bottom corner in the 14th minute.

Aaron Burns headed the ball in from seven yards out on 25 minutes and Kevin Braniff curled a right-foot shot into the top corner from 30 yards after 43.

Gavin Brennan slotted in the winner for Drogheda on the hour mark.
