Crystal Palace have extended the loan stay of Norwich midfielder Jacob Butterfield for a further month.

The 22-year-old has made five appearances, including three starts, for the Eagles since joining the Championship club in January.

The former Barnsley trainee will now remain at Selhurst Park until Sunday, 17 March.

"I'd like to think Norwich want me back in the picture, that's up to them," Butterfield said.

He has made three appearances for the Canaries and also had a spell on loan at Bolton this season.

"I'm happy playing football and I've enjoyed it so far. The team is at the right end of the league and it's an exciting time down here," he added.
