Ian Holloway: Crystal Palace aim to upset Brighton rhythm

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway says his side must upset Brighton's passing game when they face their rivals at the Amex Stadium.

Palace are three points off second-placed Hull ahead of Sunday's match.

"I don't think we'll have a tougher game at all. We have got to go there and try and disrupt what they do," said Holloway.

"They way they play and how Gus Poyet has got them moving and passing the ball around is a joy to watch."

He added: "We have got to try and impose our game on them but, truthfully, before we do that you have to stop them because of the way they do things.

"It will be tough but it is something we are all looking forward to.

"You have to play the game, not the occasion."

The Eagles have been in the Championship play-off places since October and Holloway, who took charge at Selhurst Park in November, has challenged his players to go on and secure promotion.

"The focus of the group is very, very good but we have got to keep that ticking over," Holloway added.

"It is a fantastic situation for us to be in with nine games to go.

"We know what we have got to do. Can we do it?

"This is the greatest thing of all.

"I know it is tough to do but can we keep that momentum of five wins out of eight going?

"I've got some things I can talk to the lads about that have inspired me in my life.

"Hopefully they will listen to that and be able to remember that when they are in that cauldron.

"That is my challenge [to the players] - can you do it when you need to? We don't know that yet but it excited me."
