Bury's survival hopes continued to diminish as they were outdone by League One play-off chasers Leyton Orient.

Tom Soares and Nicky Ajose missed early opportunities for the visitors.

And they were made to pay when Jimmy Smith fired in Mathieu Baudry's flick-on and David Mooney collected a Smith pass and finished for Orient's second.

Steven Schumacher and Andy Bishop shot wide for Bury, who are seven points adrift of safety, while the O's are within four points of the top six.
