Telstar striker Rhys Murphy has been invited to train with Aberdeen.

The Dons say the former Arsenal youth player is "one of a number of players the manager will assess in the weeks before the season comes to a close".

Derek McInnes took charge of Aberdeen in April and is preparing for his first full season in the Pittodrie dugout.

Murphy, 22, was loaned by Arsenal to Brentford and Preston North End before he moved to the Netherlands on a one-year deal last summer.

Velsen club Telstar currently play in the Dutch second tier.
