Stephen Doyle celebrates scoring for Loughgall

Dungannon Swifts have signed former Ards and Loughgall striker Stephen Doyle on a two-year deal.

The 23-year-old from Cookstown, who is a product of the Dungannon United Youth set-up, is relishing the prospect of top-flight football.

"I couldn't turn down the fantastic opportunity of playing in the Premiership," said Doyle.

"Like every other lad in Cookstown I wanted to play for the Swifts - I am delighted to be getting the chance."

"The facilities at Dungannon are some of the best in the country and they certainly helped make the decision very easy for me, even though (manager) Darren Murphy had already sold the club well to me," Doyle told the club website.

"I'm looking forward to getting involved in a matter of weeks at Stangmore Park and hopefully we can improve on the league position from last season."
