Barnsley: Bobby Hassell signs new one-year contract

Barnsley's longest-serving player, Bobby Hassell, has signed a contract for a 10th season with the club.
The 33-year-old has played 295 games since arriving from Mansfield in 2004.
He told the club website:, external "I've been on coaching courses, and with my wife in and out of hospital with our fourth child that's the main reason it's taken time get everything sorted out.
"I've never had so many people stop me in the street begging me to sign a new contract which is quite humbling."
Hassell made 21 appearances last season and scored the only goal of the game against Watford in March to secure a vital victory in their successful battle against relegation from the Championship.
