Two late goals by Michael Duffy gave Derry City victory over Bohemians in Monday's EA Sports Cup quarter-final.

The first came in the 83rd minute when, after taking a pass from Barry McNamee, young winger Duffy switched on to his left foot to shoot past Greg Murray.

Michael Rafter then set up Duffy who drew keeper Murray before slotting in number two with the Dalymount Park match entering stoppage-time.

It was Derry's second win over Bohs in four days.

Declan Devine's men had won 2-1 at the same venue in the Premier Division on Friday.

City had the better chances with Rafter being denied by a good Murray save in the first half and the same player firing over in the second.

Elsewhere, holders Drogheda United progressed to the semi-finals by beating Cork 3-0 and league champions Sligo cruised through with a 4-0 win away to Limerick.
