Millwall are set to sign former Ipswich Town winger Lee Martin following the completion of a medical on Thursday.

The 26-year-old, who scored six goals in 106 appearances during his four-year stay at Portman Road, is set to sign a one-year deal with the Lions.

Martin was released by Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy in May.

The Somerset-born player began his career at Manchester United and has had loan spells at seven different clubs, including Rangers and Charlton.

Martin will become new Millwall manager Steve Lomas' third signing of the summer following goalkeeper Stephen Bywater and striker Steve Morison.
