Welling sign Callum Webb and Doug Bergqvist

Welling United have completed the signings of midfielder Callum Webb and defender Doug Bergqvist.

Bergqvist, 20, joins on a season-long loan from Exeter City after leaving Aldershot Town last season.

Webb, who previously featured for Arsenal at under-18 level, joins after going on trial at Norwich last summer from Bishop's Stortford.

"Callum gives us options and is an excellent ball player," said Wings boss Jamie Day.

Swedish-born defender Bergqvist moved to England from Stockholm at the age of 10 and came through the academy systems at Reading and Queens Park Rangers.

"We knew that he was going to join Exeter and we're delighted that they agreed to let him join us on loan immediately to get some games under his belt at Conference Premier level to help continue his development," added Day.
