Ipswich Town have signed goalkeeper Dean Gerken on a two-year contract after a successful trial spell.

The 28-year-old was released by Bristol City in June after playing 60 times in a four-year spell with the Robins.

He was previously on the books of Colchester United, for whom he made 127 appearances between 2002 and 2009.

Gerken becomes the third player to swap Ashton Gate for Portman Road this summer, following midfielder Cole Skuse and winger Paul Anderson.
