Gateshead: James Marwood and Dan Smith return to club

Gateshead have re-signed James Marwood and Dan Smith on one-year deals for the upcoming season.

Midfielder Marwood, 23, left the club at the end of last season but has agreed a new deal after returning for pre-season training.

He began his career at Newcastle and is the son of Manchester City football administration officer Brian Marwood.

Smith, 26, is the younger brother of manager Anth Smith and returns after a spell in the 2008-09 season.
