John Brayford: Derby's Nigel Clough hopeful on new deal

Derby County manager Nigel Clough says the club are in talks with defender John Brayford about a new contract.
Brayford, 25, has 12 months to run on his current deal and the Rams are keen for him to extend his stay.
The club have rejected a bid of around £1m from Wigan, but they are also wary of the possibility of him leaving for free at the end of next season.
"We hope to get a new contract sorted in the next week or two," Clough told BBC East Midlands Today.
"We had an offer and turned it down because it didn't meet our valuation."
Clough said he was "surprised but pleased" there had been no further bids.
"It was substantial but not enough," Clough added.
"We hope John commits himself, because he is an important player for us.
"He has established himself as one of the most consistent right-backs in the Championship and we hope he is part of a settled back four for us."
