Newcastle United: Mehdi Abeid joins Panathinaikos on loan

Newcastle United midfielder Mehdi Abeid has joined Greek side Panathinaikos on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old has made just five first-team appearances for the Magpies since joining from French club Lens in July 2011.
He made 13 appearances for Scottish Premier League outfit St Johnstone while on loan last term, helping the club to a third-place finish.
Panathinaikos finished sixth in Greece's Super League last season.
