Women's Super League: Bristol beat Everton to move clear

Bristol Academy were handed two own goals to help them move three points clear at the top of the Women's Super League with a 3-2 win at Everton.

England midfielder Jill Scott and debutant Billie Murphy were the guilty Toffees, Natasha Harding hitting the other goal for the visitors.

England striker Eni Aluko scored twice as Chelsea beat bottom of the table Doncaster Belles 4-0.

Mel Lawley hit both of Birmingham City's goals in a 2-1 win at Lincoln.

Everton 2-3 Bristol Academy

Scott made an unhappy start on her return to club football from Euro 2013, the midfielder putting the ball into her own net after just 12 minutes.

But the Toffees were level within three minutes as Kelly Jones sent in a fierce shot that went in off the underside of the bar.

Harding restored Bristol's lead eight minutes later, intercepting a poor Brooke Chaplen back-pass to score.

The home side again retaliated quickly and drew level for a second time when striker Toni Duggan converted a 24th-minute penalty.

Academy's winner arrived five minutes after the interval, Murphy slicing an attempted clearance into the net.

Chelsea 4-0 Doncaster Rovers Belles

World Cup winner Yuki Ogimi, the first Japanese player to feature in the WSL, was the centre of attention as she made her Chelsea debut.

The 26-year-old striker failed to mark her first appearance with a goal, but she did enough to show she will be a more than useful addition to the Blues squad.

Fellow strikers Aluko, Sofia Jakobsson and Helen Ward all got their names on the scoresheet, however, Aluko hitting each of the first two goals.

The opener arrived in the 11th minute, the striker going past goalkeeper Nicola Davies - making her debut after signing from Chelsea - to shoot home.

Aluko doubled the lead after swapping passes with Ward three minutes before half-time.

Three minutes after the break Ward scored from close range after a Jakobsson shot had rebounded off the post.

As the Belles looked to hit back, Jess Sigsworth hit the woodwork.

But it was game over when Jakobsson poked in the fourth goal 16 minutes from time, to move Chelsea up to third place in the table.

Lincoln 1-2 Birmingham City

England captain Casey Stoney was unlucky not to give Lincoln the lead with a sixth-minute free-kick that hit the bar.

Birmingham made the most of that let-off when Lawley raced clear to fire in her first goal just after the half-hour.

And the striker added her second three minutes into the second half, beating the offside trap to double Blues' lead.

Striker Carla Cantrell reduced the arrears in the 55th minute, but despite some late pressure the home side were unable to force an equaliser.
