Kevin Feely: Carlisle United sign Charlton defender on loan

League One side Carlisle United have signed Charlton Athletic defender Kevin Feely on a 28-day loan deal.

The 20-year-old Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has not made a senior appearance for the Addicks since joining from Bohemians last November.

"It's an area where we need cover at the moment and he is a very good player who can come in and do that for us," Carlisle manager Greg Abbott said.

"He's a big, strong player who can play a bit of football as well."

He added: "He comes very highly rated and he's another who is very keen and hungry to be involved.

"Hopefully this will be a good month for him and us."
