Matt Hazley gives Dungannon Swifts the points with a late winner against Premiership new boys Warrenpoint Town.

Warrenpoint Town's firs match in the Irish Premiership ended in a narrow defeat by Dungannon Swifts.

Kenny Kearns struck Town's first top-flight goal with a sweet striker on 34 minutes but Matt Hazley got the Swifts level with a penalty before half-time.

The spot-kick had been awarded for Liam Bagnall's foul on Stefan Lavery.

Dungannon newboy David McCullough headed the Swifts in front and Bagnall equalised before Hazley popped up to net his second and the winning goal.

"I knew it would be tough against a team playing their first match as a senior club," said Dungannon manager Darren Murphy.

"Warrenpoint wanted to showcase their talents and show that they deserve to be in the top division and they certainly managed that.

"We have a young squad and people may now know some of the names. Maybe that is a good thing.

"They have worked hard in pre-season and I am delighted for them."
