Rotherham 2-2 Shrewsbury

Rotherham maintained their unbeaten start to the new League One season with a draw against Shrewsbury Town.

The visitors took the lead when Jon Taylor headed home Paul Parry's cross.

The Millers equalised when Matt Tubbs's knock down allowed Alex Revell to fire home from 18 yards but Tom Bradshaw's tap in restored Shrewsbury's lead.

Substitute Daniel Nardiello then headed home Ben Pringle's free kick to level things before being sent off late on for a second bookable offence.

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans tells BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I thought they had a man extra all over the pitch today.

"I think they were the better team in the first half, I didn't think we started properly. We just went long at every opportunity.

"In the second half we got back in the game with a great strike from (Alex) Revell and their second goal was offside for me.

"It was a great header by (Daniel) Nardiello and we flashed a number of opportunities just wide and we should have won the game."

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"Am I pleased with a point today? No. I felt there were passages of play where we played very well - looked likely to create chances, looked likely to score, but not often enough.

"We passed the ball well, but got caught two or three times from the big kick outs and that is disappointing. The pace we played at was good and our front players worked their socks off.

"There is a lot of room for encouragement for how we play - including the creation of chances. We know we can pass the ball as good as anyone in this league."
