Morecambe will be without centre-back Chris McCready for three months because of a fractured collarbone.
The 32-year-old was hurt in a tangle with Plymouth striker Marvin Morgan during the first half of Saturday's 2-1 victory over Argyle at the Globe Arena.
"He fell awkwardly and snapped his collarbone," Shrimps manager Jim Bentley told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"I feel sorry for him because he's a fantastic pro. These things happen. We'll have to get on with it."
