Guernsey FC will play their FA Cup tie against Dover at the headquarters of the Sussex County Football Association at Lancing on Saturday, 28 September.

Guernsey had hoped to rearrange the match because of a fixture clash with Guernsey RFC, but Dover refused.

If the tie had been played in Guernsey, it would have been the first-ever FA Cup tie to have been played on the island.

If the tie is drawn, a replay will take place on Tuesday, 1 October at Dover.

A statement on Guernsey FC's website said: "Guernsey FC would like to take this opportunity to thank the Guernsey Rugby Football Club for its efforts in trying to move its fixture to an evening kick-off to accommodate the FA Cup tie at Footes Lane.

"The club would also like to thank the Sussex County FA and Lancing FC for their co-operation and for agreeing to host the tie at their Lancing headquarters."
