Barnsley have signed Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland on a 93-day loan deal.
The England international, 20, joined the Potters from Birmingham in January for £3.5m, but was immediately loaned back to Blues for the rest of the season and is yet to play for Stoke.
With Barnsley's regular number one Luke Steele out with a back injury, Butland is likely to go straight into the team for Saturday's trip to Leicester.
"It's important for my development to continue to play matches," he tweeted., external
"I see this as a step forward and a chance to take the work I've done with Stoke onto the pitch, and in turn help the club push on."
