Irish Premiership: Crusaders 3-0 Glenavon
- Published
Substitute Jordan Owens scored twice in the second half as Crusaders earned a deserved win over Glenavon at Seaview.
Timmy Adamson put the Crues in front with a fine finish from inside the area on the half hour, his fourth goal of the season.
Owens headed in Paul Leeman's cross from the right from close range in the 67th minute and was left unmarked to fire in his second after 86 minutes.
Glenavon drop to second in the table, with Crusaders in sixth place.
The Lurgan Blues began the game at the top of the Premiership thanks to four consecutive victories, but never looked like extending that run.
Declan Caddell missed two early chances and then Andy Coleman produced a fine diving save from Adamson.
Davy Magowan and Chris Morrow were instrumental in setting up Adamson for his opener, courtesy of some fine approach play.
Eamonn McAllister squandered a good opportunity, failing to convert Paul Heatley's dangerous cross.
Owens's two goals after the break were just reward for the home side's dominance throughout.
