Goals from Daniel Haynes, Yoann Arquin and Callum McGregor helped managerless Notts County defeat Oldham to climb off the foot of League One.
Haynes gave County the lead with a header from Greg Tempest's corner before Adam Rooney nodded in to equalise just before half time.
Arquin's header from Gary Liddle's cross put them back in front before McGregor scored with a low strike.
Oldham replied through Jonson Clarke-Harris's free kick, but County held on.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Oldham manager Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Manchester:
"We didn't turn up in the first half. We were second best to things, there were people falling over, there was schoolboy defending and we looked vulnerable from set-pieces.
"I didn't think [the absent] James Tarkowski would have made such a difference and we certainly missed him.
"In the second half we gave it a go, but the first half performance wasn't good enough."
