Milton Keynes Dons 0-1 Carlisle United

Lewis Guy's volleyed winner for Carlisle against his former club ended MK Dons' unbeaten home run this season.

Daniel Powell, Darren Potter and Samir Carruthers all flashed half-volleys narrowly wide as the Dons controlled a subdued first half an hour.

But Guy then swivelled to meet David Amoo's knock-down, crashing the ball high into the net.

Mark Gillespie protected the first-half lead, tipping Carruthers' curled effort over the bar as the hosts battled back

Izale McLeod and Patrick Bamford both planted headers narrowly wide as the Dons slipped to their third defeat in four games.

"There was part of that we know wasn't acceptable.

"Today we've shown that maybe our squad isn't good enough.

"For 25 minutes we dominated that game, we passed it quickly, we had three or four guilt-edged chances which we missed and we can't keep missing these chances.

"If you go and take five players out of any group, they are going to be extremely weakened."
