Lee Tomlin: Peterborough United striker faces FA charge
- Published
Peterborough United striker Lee Tomlin is facing an FA misconduct charge for his reaction to being sent off against Colchester United last Saturday.
He is accused of a breach of FA Rule E3,, external relating to improper conduct and bringing the game into disrepute.
Tomlin, 24, kicked water bottles as he left the field, having been red carded on the advice of the assistant referee.
The Posh have not appealed against the red card, but have until 18:00 GMT on Friday to respond to the charge.
Tomlin's 54th-minute dismissal, his sixth in as many seasons, means he will miss Saturday's match against league leaders Leyton Orient.
