Crawley Town 0-0 Swindon Town

Swindon had Nathan Byrne sent off late on but held firm to draw at Crawley.

The defender was dismissed after collecting a second yellow card with three minutes of the game remaining.

Earlier, Nicky Ajose came close to winning it for Swindon, hitting a post after latching onto Ryan Mason's pass.

Crawley, who have now drawn three consecutive matches, came close through Jamie Proctor's header and Mark Connolly's shot but visiting goalkeeper Wes Foderingham kept out both attempts.

Crawley manager Richie Barker told BBC Surrey:

"Eight shots on target, and at least another half-dozen off target, you'd expect to come away with something, but it really isn't our time at the moment.

"If you look back earlier in the season with one or two fortuitous goals we've had, maybe we've used up quite a bit of luck.

"But we'll look at the positives. We're now back in the top half, unbeaten in four, another clean sheet.

"I do understand people want to come and seen lots of goals, we've said earlier in the season we want to make it an entertaining place to come. But we've also got to grind out the odd result throughout 46 games. Its a hell of a long season, and we're not going to have it all our own way."

Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper told BBC Wiltshire:

"We set up to get something out of the game and the longer it went on, the more adventurous we became.

"I felt we had opportunities on the break that, with a little bit more care, would have got us a goal.

"If we'd also kept 11 men on the pitch we could have won the game.

"We never really looked in trouble throughout the night."
