Paul Heatley scored twice as Crusaders kept up their pursuit of league leaders Linfield by comfortably seeing off struggling Coleraine at Seaview.

Heatley met a Jordan Owens cross with a first-time finish on nine minutes and flashed a left-foot shot across goal and in off the far post after 38.

Gary McCutcheon scored with a close-range header from a Heatley left-wing cross in the 64th minute.

Defender David Magowan fired in the fourth after a neat one-two after 72.

The victory extended the Crues' unbeaten run in all competitions to 20 matches.

Heatley nipped in front of David Ogilby to meet Owens' cross for the opener and then Declan Caddell headed over.

At the other end, Eoin Bradley and Stephen Carson were off-target with headers for the Bannsiders.

Heatley fired his second past Wayne Drummond and then intercepted a loose ball to set up McCutcheon for his side's third.

Magowan's strike completed the rout and the Crues remain three points behind leaders Linfield at the summit of the Premiership.

Coleraine drop to a lowly 10th position, two points behind derby rivals Ballymena United.
